Fight. Flight. Freedom.
A true story of betrayal, healing, and the signs that carried me through — for every woman rebuilding after trust is shattered, and everyone who loves her.
There is a story here. Perhaps more than one. A story of betrayal. A story that broke a woman, fractured a home, and forever changed the life of a little girl.
But that is not the story I want to tell you.
This is the story of the journey. The journey from trust to truth. From silence to finding the confidence to confront the lies and the deception that followed. It is about understanding the damage betrayal leaves behind — not because someone is naïve, but because they chose to trust wholeheartedly.
What no one tells you is that healing isn’t just about surviving the earthquake. It’s about learning to drive again after the road has been left full of divots.
Some of them are almost laughable. An electricity bill for $28.71 that leaves you sitting in a dark house because you didn’t know it existed. Friends who unknowingly hurt you. New people who simply aren’t equipped to carry the weight of the chapters that came before them.
None of those moments break you on their own. But after enough divots, even the strongest traveler gets tired.
So you turn the music up louder than your thoughts. You dance alone because standing still hurts more. You buy the concert ticket anyway. And somewhere along that uneven road, something unexpected happens: you stop measuring your life by what you’ve lost and begin measuring it by who you’re becoming.
Who is this for?
If you are a woman walking through betrayal right now — any kind of betrayal, because cheating wears many disguises and every one of them wounds — this is for you. If your nervous system is on high alert and your body reacts before your mind can catch up, this is for you. If you are a mother or a father watching your daughter shrink inside a relationship and you don’t have the words yet for what you’re seeing, this is for you too. I hope these pages give you the language.
And if you are someone who prays to God and also asks the universe for a sign — who grew up in church and still believes your grandmother can send you a dragonfly — you are especially welcome here. I never chose between those two worlds. I found out they were never separate to begin with.
How My Blog Works
Everything I write belongs in one of these lanes:
FIGHT
Recognizing betrayal, confronting it, and standing up for yourself when every instinct says stay small.
FLIGHT
The mask, the numbing, the survival mode. The years spent keeping the peace at your own expense.
FREEDOM
The signs, the healing, the becoming. The version of yourself you’re finally excited to introduce to people.
Some parts of my story I am not ready to tell yet. They will come when I am. What I can promise you is that everything here is true, everything here cost something, and none of it is written to destroy anyone — it is written to rebuild someone. Maybe me. Maybe you. Probably both.
This isn’t a story about betrayal. It’s a story about resilience. About rebuilding. About learning that confidence isn’t born from a life without hardship — it grows every time you choose to keep moving, even when the road ahead is still full of divots.
Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
